FEES FOR ORGANISTS

The Council stresses that this SOV Fee Scale for Church Organists/Musicians sets out these minimum fees for those who are qualified, experienced and competent. It is also offered as the basis for NEGOTIATION by Organists/Musicians at ALL LEVELS, and for those who have less experience and/or no professional qualification.
1. FEE STRUCTURE for SALARIED POSITION
Organist with ability and experience - one weekly service, no choir $120
52 weeks including 4 weeks paid annual leave
Sick leave negotiated $6,240
Organist with ability and experience
One weekly service and choir rehearsal $150
[accompaniment under choir director]
52 weeks including 4 weeks paid annual leave
Sick leave negotiated $7,800
Organist and Choir Director qualified and experienced
One service and one full choir rehearsal $240
52 weeks including 4 weeks paid annual leave
Sick leave negotiated $12,480
Organist and Choir Director qualified and experienced
One service and two full choir rehearsals $300
52 weeks including 4 weeks paid annual leave
Sick leave negotiated $15,600
Additional Services not included as part of Salary Package
Such as for Maundy Thursday, Good Friday,
extra Easter and Christmas Day services when
music is required
Organist only - per service $120
Organist and Choir Director with choir - per service $150
Weddings and Funerals - not included in salary package $150
2. FEE STRUCTURE for LOCUMs / DEPUTIES
Locum / Deputy Organist Sunday only - travelling time included $120
Locum / Deputy Organist and Choir Director
[No rehearsal $150
Sunday only [With one short rehearsal $180
[With one full rehearsal $240
FEES and SALARY PACKAGES - to be indexed by CPI annually. Sick leave negotiated
